In The Works
Below are images of some pieces I'm currently working on.
For my original sculptures, I typically use clay as my medium of choice. Currently, I use a "greenish" harder clay that usually allows my sculptures to stand on their own without major structural supports. Occasionally there will be support wires showing that will be removed in the final sculpture. For my paintings, I am currently using oil on canvas.
A piece may take years, months or weeks to complete. These images should help show the process and evolution of a sculpture or painting from conception to completion. Once I finish an original sculpture, it will go to a foundry to be cast into bronze using the lost wax process, explained here. Please email me suggestions, questions or make comments about something you see. A little encouragement goes a long way. If you see something you like, let me know, so you can reserve a specific edition number before production. If you'd like to receive emailed updates from me about these pieces I'm working on, please register here.
